MEET DAENERYS
Daenerys (Day-nair-is) is ready for her forever home! Daenerys was brought into PPP when she was 9-weeks-old as a part of PPP's service dog training program. Unfortunately, Daenerys is a little too sensitive and easily startled to be happy as a service dog. PPP is looking for a pet home for Daenerys. Daenerys would not be suitable to continue training as a service dog or therapy dog.

Daenerys is currently 7-months-old and approximately 48 lbs. She may be anywhere from 60 lbs to 70 lbs when she is fully grown. Daenerys loves training and knows sit, down, wait, coming when called, touch, name response, under, leave it, go potty, go to bed, front, turn, and many more cues. Daenerys generally does well in a crate but does struggle settling in new environments. She does well being bathed and groomed. She is working on her loose leash walking and heeling and is doing well.

Daenerys has had no health issues since she's been with PPP. Daenerys is currently intact and will be adopted on a contract and must be spayed by 12 months. This is to reduce Daenerys's risk of joint and muscle injuries since she is a large breed dog.

Daenerys is a fun, playful pup who loves to go on long walks, play fetch, and run around with her dog friends. When she is tired, she is equally happy to hang out on the couch and snuggle with her people. Daenerys can be a little shy towards new people, but she warms up to new people quickly. Daenerys loves to play with other dogs but sometimes can be intimidated by dogs that are bigger than her or in large playgroups. Daenerys has shown behaviors that indicate a high prey drive therefore, we would not recommend Daenerys go to a home with cats or other small animals.
