Dog Adoption
The Prison Pet Partnership Program has started adopting dogs from individuals who need to re-home their precious pets. While there are many types of dogs that would make excellent service dogs PPPP is primarily interested in Golden Retrievers and Labradors between the ages of 8 months and 1.5 years old. We are interested in dogs who enjoy being with people and have never shown aggression towards people or any other animals. We are looking for dogs with a low prey and/or ball drive, meaning they do not completely lose their mind when a ball, bird, small animal is around. PPPP will happily assess mixed breeds, as long as they generally fit the characteristics of the breeds we are looking for. If you think your dog may fit the criteria, please fill out our Potential Dog Survey. Directions for submission are on the file.
